Treat your feet right

You're back on campus? Maybe your kids back are in school? Or it's just been a long day? ... either way, you must be beat this week. After a warm shower, why not treat yourself to a quick 7 minute at-home pedicure.

1) The first step to a flawless pedi is to remove your old nail polish. You probably don’t think twice about what nail polish remover you use, but it does make a difference to the health of your nails. Use a non-acetone based polish, because it is more gentle and won’t dry out nails.

2) Unless your toenails are really long, file nails, instead of clipping them. Filing allows for greater control of the length and the shape to give you a prettier pedi. File the edges of the nails at an angle for a softer shape.

3) Use a foot balm like Urban Sugarbaby's Feet Treat. This balm gives a warm sensation as it is massaged in and doesn't leave a greasy feel. The neem provides itch relief, while the peppermint and menthol soothes aches and swelling from high heels or being on your feet all day. When applying, pay special attention to your heels and other rough areas as you massage the balm in.

Beauty Tip: Rest those tired, achy feet. Pour 2 cups of mouthwash (yes, the mouthwash you gargle with) into your foot spa water, soak your feet for about 15 mins to open your pores, exfoliate with an essential oil based foot scrub, rinse and pat dry and apply creme.

For extra conditioning and softness wrap your feet with saran wrap for 10 minutes. The foot scrub will soothe and refine your heels and the bottom of your tired feet while the mouthwash kills germs and bacteria. Beauty Tip: Sexy, sultry, smokey eyes are super hot! Kick your innocent babygirl look up a notch with sexy dark eyes and a gently playful pout. Use a dark brown eyeshadow along the eyelid to the outside corner, apply heavier at corner. Highlight the inside corner of your eye with a divalicious gold, silver or pink and gently blend into the dark brown. Highlight brow bone with same/similiar color to balance out the dark brown. Simply sweep dark brown eyeshadow along your lower lid. Top it off with two coats of masacara and VOILA! Apply a neutral shade of gloss. For your gloss to have an even and smooth appearance prep lips with a sheer lip balm. Whatever you do AVOID BLACK EYELINER especially if you're unfamiliar with this technique! Please be aware if done incorrectly you will look like Pepe Le'Pew the Skunk. But, we have faith in you ... you're a fox!
